It has been such a hassle getting my daughter on the bus transportation this year. We have to wait til mid October to find out if she's accepted on the route. Our address cuts off right at the 2.5 mile mark which they consider walking distance. I don't feel comfortable having my daughter take the city bus alone. My fingers are crossed it all works out in October! ?

TUSD transportation is ok. My child has taken the bus for 6 years now. Sometimes the bus is really late. The only way to know anything is to call transportation and they usually get a hold of the driver to see what's going on. If the "late" is consistent, you can suggest, but they'll never drastically change the official pick up time. The phone hours posted are good....but for them to actually answer really early in the morning before 7 or almost at the end of the day after 230- honestly try to avoid those times or good luck. Transportation won't call the school about ETA if there's problems, like it broke down etc. I've always had to call the school and let them know it was 35 minutes late and not to worry, my kid is coming today. They thank me because they have no clue.
In the end, they're not too bad, communication and scheduling needs to be worked on a bit.

Completely different. Anyone who has to participate in the McKinney Vento Act... don't even bother trying to get the bus to pick up your kid. Unless, you'll be at a shelter or friends house solidly for a minimum of 2 weeks. If youre bouncing around, the bus won't be there, nor do they provide a veto, or uber, TUSD van sort of transportation while you wait for the bus route to be set up. The bus route didn't get set and start until I called Phoenix McKinney vento and ratted to them about it. Very unfortunate for KY kids to have missed almost a month of school.

My kids have to cross 4 lanes of traffic to the hub stop in a totally different neighborhood, I called and asked if there is a way for the bus to cross the street to our neighborhood I was told that it is my responsibility to get them to the hub stop. I asked if there is a stop on our side of the neighborhood, I’m not asking for them to get picked up in front of my house, and SUMMER kept repeating how it is parents responsibility to take them to the stop. It’s like she didn’t have anything else to say but that one sentence. Isn’t it transportation’s responsibility to make sure kids are safe. Who comes up with the hub stops? If my kids were to get hit by a car and die then would they start caring? Or will they continue saying it’s my responsibility? I usually have had good experiences when calling transportation, but today I was really disappointed and don’t think they care or take into consideration how dangerous it is to cross 4 lanes of traffic where there are no cross walks.

This is the 3rd day in a row daughter has been late. Now I'm going to be late for work again. It's amazing how this transportation system has all these negative reviews and they don't even try to fix the problem. Clearly new bus drivers or all of the company in general should be replaced with someone who will actually do their job.

Bus never shows up on time, and FIVE times so far this school year the bus has not shown up at all. There are no updates of any kind if the bus is delayed, unlike other school districts we have lived in. When you call the hub number to find out where the bus is, the people are rude and demand to know your child's name to look up where the bus is. What the heck? Why do you need our name to look up your where YOUR missing school bus is? Hello? Then the patronizing woman asked me why I find that surprising? Umm, because you should be able to find the location of YOUR bus without our personal information. What the heck? Another sign of clown world. I have lived all over, including Alaska, and even in blizzards you get updates on bus delays. This district is a joke, and we should all pull our kids out. I won't even go into the abusive atmosphere on the buses themselves from the bus monitors. I don't even know the names of the drivers, or the monitors, but they sure know want to know our names. Bizarre.

They are Rude! Not caring! Dr Trujillo needs to act undercover and call that office and see how they treat him. I got hung up on when I was barely able to get 1 sentence out. And I was NICE when I called and got hung up on. She gave me a speech she must of said a million times and then hung up. I guess the lady was tired of parents calling for a bus schedule. Well if they would of figured the schedules out at least 2 weeks before school was starting they wouldn't of had a million calls from concerned parents.

I called because all the confusion with the children's bus schedules. My son was directed to go to a bus hub that is as far away from my home as the school. (Over 3 miles) When I called to ask for other options or how to handle this since I have ro leave for work at 5:00 a.m I was answered with a rude condescending lady named Rita. I have been dealing with TUSD transportation for over 20 years and have never spoke with someone so unproffesional and outwardly rude. I think it is important that my son gets to school considering they make him go to a school way out of our neighborhood. When I inquired about these things I was told she is hanging up if I continued because I am intentionally trying to start a fight. I am sure these calls are recorded so I would seriously suggest someone look into her behavior towards parents, because this is terrible customer service.

My grandaughters (6 years old) hub stop was cancelled this morning. We waited 30 minutes at stop. Called TUSD transportation. The person I talked to had no knowledge on anything of bus routes or hubs. She new nothing after I had to spell everything to her. Then puts me on hold. After another 33 minutes says oh the hub stop was cancelled today.# 1 No notice was given to school, parent or updated on line.Yes, Dr Trujillo needs to work on his new hires & train the new dispatchers.
