LA Metro is a wonderful place to work! Headquarters has a cafeteria, gym and you get a 20% discount at all food establishments.

Hello, I am new to the area. I've had many rides on the metro bus. I have loved it for many months. I was trying to get on the bus and driver pulled away. Hope this time and location and driver is noted. 6 p.m., 8/31/2024 Imperial and pioneer. Driver is a bit off ?.

Too confusing... Bus operators charge some days and other days they don't; And just when you think you figured out the pay, not pay ratio... They claim it not like that.... and does not exist.....

I have a good experience thus far for 6 months with Metro ?
One suggestion I would like to add is the Soto Stop going east on valley Blvd get cleaned up, add a bench, cover, lighting maybe a concrete slab. It’s really bad at night because of the tall weeds, trash etc. some drivers have stopped a few yards passed it because they didn’t see the person waiting or pass them up all together. I’ve seen it happen many times. With the amount of homeless motor homes not far from the Stop makes it risky at night

I was on a working visit. Yes - it is visually beautiful. But my tips here are to Google maps of the parking garage system. Getting bearings is not visually possible. And then exiting is weird because of not having an exit map in the car. Check maps of garage at the elevators. That will help. (Jan 22) Some things better. But before starting car make sure you know which way is North. All markings are by compass direction. For me - a better experience. Still applies 2023. Orig 2018.

Only one positive here. The trains are cheaper than driving. That's where it ends. I have ridden public transit rail all over Europe and parts of Asia. One thing for sure is that the LA Metro is the least technically advanced and disgusting system I have ever ridden. Departure and arrival times are wrong more than right.. People don't pay and just walk through turnstiles. There is nobody checking fares on the trains or platforms. The rail cars are filthy and always have vagrants, dangerous mentally ill and homeless people sleeping in the cars. And don't even attempt to use the Union station restroom unless you dont mind being exposed to vagrants using all the sinks as their personal bathroom I have complained several times to LA Metro and they promise changes but it never happens I have suggested enforcing fares and paying a small fee to use the restrooms like they do in Europe and Asia. These two changes alone would eliminate a big part of the problem. Nothing changes. It's such a badly managed system run by totally incompetent people from top management all the way down to customer service.

I love this transit service! It's very organized and cool. There is one concern that I have though. Shouldn't Metro implement the use of articulated buses on heavily traveled routes like 70 and 76. It's sad to see people miss the bus due to overcrowding. It would make for a better way to get to Downtown Los Angeles. Overall, Metro has great service and very kind drivers. Thank you Metro.
