The Monorail is an iconic part of the experience of Walt Disney World. We attended for the Very Merry Christmas Party so it was not a busy ride and a lovely way to start and end the magic of Disney.

Apparently this train cannot survive Thunder in the region. So any hint of thunder, you need to wait for the slow ferry. Bad transport situation compared to all the other parks. However, if you take a bus to a hotel, it might be ok. But not if you're a visitor paying for parking. Parking prices are similar to south beach Miami.

The monorail of Disney is an attraction in itself. From the time I was a little girl, I felt the futuristic vibe of this form of transportation between parks. The smooth glide across the tracks…always a fun time before and after the parks!

Transportation Center is a great place because it can take you to Magic Kingdom or over to Epcot. They have an Express monorail to Magic Kingdom and express monorail to Epcot and they also have a fairy which will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom. This is also where the buses meet as well which can take you to any of the parks as well as any of the Resort's. It is possible to Park here and then walk to the neighboring hotels, you can go to the Polynesian and then from there to the Floridian. Don't try to walk to the Magic Kingdom though because while there is a path it is approximately 4 miles. The monorail's run every 10 minutes and the ferries run every 15 to 20 minutes. The buses aren't as consistent but if the monorail has a long wait the bus can be a good option as usually most people don't leverage it. When you park there is a tram system that will take you up to the Transportation Hub. You can walk if you would prefer to get extra exercise or if you want to take a break and get there a little faster the tram can be a great option. The trams generally do a pick up every 7 minutes or so.

Who doesn’t love the monorail at Disney. Maybe it’s just be but I love going on it as a whole and it’s an experience that everyone must experience.

This was a fantastic experience. We visited end of January so could hop on and hop off quite easily. The ride is smooth and quick and the views are awesome.

?Clean, Effective, Fun?

I always say that the monorail is the first ride and last ride you enjoy at the Disney theme parks.

The station provides some shade from the heat, and the monorails themselves are clean, air-conditioned, and with plenty of sitting room. They effectively transport you to your destination while providing you with a high enough view to get a glimpse of the park's keystone attractions and even pass through its hotels.

As a kid, I remember the monorail feeling like my ticket--my first glimpse--into Disney magic. As an adult, I still get that giddy feeling when the monorail shoots along its track toward the park destination. Some things never change 🙂
