Just got hired here, good company so far, i can feel the family atmosphere here, that's good. Dominique is my recruiter. She is awesome, kept it open and honest with me about what she could do for me...Orientation went smooth, the ppl are cool, got us in and out. The terminal is huge! Waiting on my truck right now...Will update after I get moving. But so far so good

My experience with Navajo was not a total disaster.

EQUIPMENT: started out terrible, but I got a better truck. They should invest in APUs to reduce idle time.

MANAGEMENT: Navajo Express is changing things around...they have a new Safety Leader nice fellow. He seams fair. I absolutely love my driver leaders Beth & Conner; was a pleasure to drive for them.

Miles: The miles I was given were great. And again, I love the team I was on...great communication, some hiccups but manable under the right pay-grade.

PAY: So here's why I quit & why I think so many " company drivers " are quitting. The pay is too low. I was given a raise to a more competitive rate, which I liked..HOWEVER, Navajo makes you take per diem. Which I never take because, like many trucking companies, they do not actually give you the per diem allowance in real money... What they do is they don't tax a certain percentage of the cents per mile. This makes the paycheck a smaller amount because of the part that was taxed. So, I said I do not want per diem. I want a straight rate we agreed upon. The higher-ups in the company would not change this practice. Per diem is voluntary. However, Navajo makes their drivers take it.
And that's wrong, so that is the only reason I left after returning my truck.
Also, after returning the truck, Navajo paid my flight expenses back home.

So then, I give Navajo Express 4-out of-5 stars has my experience with working here as a company driver.

Staff seems pretty good to work with. They try they're best. All new office staff from when I was there before. The equipment is well it is what it is. Mechanics could be better and care a little more i think. But you get what you get with guys like that. For the maintenance I would only give 2 stars.

As a carrier DON’T Work with them. They just ripp you off if you tracking turned because of service issues. They will deduct money out of your load. 20% out of load. Be careful work with better brokers or straight through customers. I won’t recommend them.

0 stars!! Believe the other reviews. These people are thieves. Same ordeal happened to us about tracking fees. We run the same water loads for several other brokers with the same tracking, and never encountered fees. Called in to discuss and was told we would be reimbursed. Needless to say after following up several times.....nada. Don't book with these CROOKS!

Joanna was an awesome person to get me on board with Navajo express , very kind and helpful to all questions . This is a great company , the welcome of a new family is real. I’ve been trucking for a while and I really like it here . And would recommend any driver who wants to make money and become apart of a family to come here .
