We were moving from Missouri to California and the thought of driving a Uhaul with a car trailer that distance was scary. So after a lot of research we found RTD. Frank was great to work with, always responsive and gave us step by step instructions and what to expect through the whole process. We had no surprises on price. Our driver James was equally professional and courteous. He gave us updates each day and night, took pictures of where he parked the Uhaul and trailer each night. We really appreciated Frank and James, they made our move much easier! I would recommend their service to anyone!

I had a beyond positive experience with RTD and give them my highest review. I was moving on a short timeline as was shocked at the quotes--in time of delivery and price-- from conventional movers. I stumbled upon RTD and from the first call they were a delight to work with. Kenny was flexible, responsive, and helped accommodate some difficult requests. The driver they matched me with-- Dick--was communicative and an expert in what he does. He even helped coach me in which type of lock I needed to get for my rented truck and was a great partner through the full experience. I probably ended up paying 25% of what I would have with traditional moving companies and got my stuff damage free the next day instead of 3 weeks later. Thank you Frank, Kenny, and Dick for making my moving experience a breeze!

My first time doing a long distance move. We had several moving companies price it and then had Rented Truck Driver price it. By the time all the unseen fees were done the price was about the same. Some fees to look out for that we didn’t think of; Insurance on the rented van was $200. About 20% of the total rental price. Seems really high. Transportation back for the truck driver. We had issues with rented truck driver on this. Make sure you do your research to make sure what you’re paying and how they’re getting him back. Rent a truck driver gave us a quote and you’ll notice their final price is usually within $200 of quoted price. Ours was $300 more but that’s after a $200 refund because they didn’t reserve a flight back in a timely matter and had him going out of another airport that was farther away. The driver Gerald was a great guy. He showed up earlier than expected, which was nice. We rented an 16 foot moving van and the car hauler. The only issue I had with Gerald was the straps on the car hauler had gotten a little loose. He should’ve checked the straps and tightened them along the trip. However, nothing was damaged and everything came in good shape. After calculating how much time it took us to pack and load and unload everything compared to what a moving company would price I don’t know if it was worth it or not. The one big plus you get with these guys is a solid schedule. If you don’t have the flexibility to work with the moving companies and you need it on a certain day, then this is your best option. The main reason why we went with them was the moving companies could not guarantee a delivery date and that’s what we needed most. I will use them again, but will do a little more research before I sign off.

I had an emergency move. Our close family friend, who is in remission from cancer, could not drive their U-Haul truck at very last moment, due to some medical issues. In order to reunite the family in TX and get our friend out of this stressful situation, we had to find a driver who would drive their loaded U-Haul, and towed car, from KY to Austin, TX. After speaking to two companies who insisted we use their moving trucks, I found Frank and Kenny at Rented Truck Driver. Once I explained the situation, within minutes I was talking to the owner Frank, who said they could help me the very next day and not price gouge me. Within hours, he had a wonderful Austin local, Adam, flying to KY. They communicated with me the whole way and honestly, it could not have gone smoother. The price was way below what I was expecting and the service was phenomenal. We needed to focus on our friends health and they made this as painless as possible. They promised to help us and not take advantage of us, and he came through. The team at Rented Truck Driver, including our new Austin friend Adam, come highly recommended! If I had known it would be this easy and cost effective, I would have done it from the beginning. Thank you to the Rented Truck Driver team, Frank, Kenny and Adam, for keeping your word and helping a needy family. Thank you for your kindness!

To start, I am so glad to have found out about Rented Truck Driver, as this felt so much better than any moving company (and a better value as well!) I am very happy with the quality of service provided, and everything went pretty much perfectly throughout the entire process! I appreciate the thorough communication; Frank, the owner, reached out frequently and kept us constantly up-to-date. Our driver was Charles, and he was absolutely fantastic! He went above and beyond to assist us in the cross-country moving process. Not only is he a great driver (including towing my car behind the truck), but he was also very personable, providing for fun conversations. He was always early for our set times (which was helpful for us), and this included arriving at the destination. Since he had some extra time before his flight, he was more than willing to assist us with moving our things to our apartment! This saved us significant time and energy, which we are very grateful for. In the contract/emails, everything was clear and spelled out in detail (no surprise costs!!!), leaving nothing unanswered. If/when we had questions though, Frank and the others were glad to help, to the point of even providing a number to text for quick responses. I think the best sign of how great the service was is in my mother, who was initially very nervous about the move. However, by the end, she was singing the praises of this company and our driver. I'd call that a job well done!

I used Frank and RTD years ago for a move from Washington, D.C. to Napa, CA and it was a great experience. I just looked him up for a customer of mine and saw all these other great reviews. Frank, I see you moved down south to sunny Florida. Good call and keep up the great work!

Rented Truck Driver was a life saver! The whole process was so easy and to-the-point. I reached out fairly last minute (a few weeks before my move from South Carolina to Colorado) and Frank was really great about answering any questions, getting me a quote very quickly as well as assuring me he'd be able to find a driver. And he did! Our driver Mark was really great! He was considerate, helpful and very kind. He even arrived at the final destination a few hours earlier than expected! I would absolutely recommend this company again! It's a great service that they provide along with being a company that really makes sure their customers are well taken care of. Thank you to the whole team for doing such a great job!

Frank and his team were absolutely first class. They answered every question, alleviated all concerns, and were extremely communicative throughout our cross-country moving process. They are also cost-effective. The driver of our U-haul was Paul from Texas. Experienced driver, buttoned up, and even a better guy. I would have trusted him with my kids. I will recommend them to everybody I know who is looking for a moving service and/or professional driver.
