I was physically assaulted by two individuals on the SBX platform, the two that assaulted me ran away. Law Enforcement was called and asked to see surveillance footage at which point we were told that the cameras that are at the SBX stop across from the San Bernardino transit center was not operating at the time of the (random assault) but that there were operating afterwards! I then questioned if the cameras were properly working at all, because this is not the first incident to where an assault took place and coincidentally the cameras weren't working at the time of the assault. WHAT'S EVEN MORE INTERESTING is that a few months ago when one of the transit employees was assaulted by a rider and Law Enforcement had arrived the transit supervisor had the footage of the driver being assaulted by an individual CLEAR AS DAY, but for some reason it seems as though the cameras didn't/can't catch the other two incidents/any other incidents not to mention how hard it is to find a security guard here. When you do see them they are either on their cellular phones or sleeping in the their office which isn't well tented, so yeah we can see...... If you're going to travel to the I.E./San Bernardino you may want to avoid this place!!!!!!!!!! Especially if you are looking for a safety and security traveling to and from...

I used the SBT Friday, May 5 and Monday, May 8. I was on my way to Big Bear Lake. I took the Onmi Transit from Ontario Airport to SBT than to Big Bear. that was bus 61 from Airport to Fontana Metrolink than bus 14 from Fontana Metrolink to SBT and finally the Mountain Transit route 5 to BB. NOTE: if you are heading to Big Bear on the Mountain Transit Route 5. They only 3 days a week Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays The first bus to BB is 10:15am arrives at BB at 11:45am and Last one is 3:05pm arrives at BB at 4:45pm. The fares just $10 and you do for sure need cash to pay the fares. For more info just go to the Mountain Transit web site. Always ask the driver if this Route 5 because there also Route 6. The bus dose not have a restroom so make sure you prepare before boarding the bus. The SBT is a nice station. There are benches to sit while waiting for the buses. There are restrooms available inside the transit building. The location is not too bad. there is a Starbucks just a block I did not go to it but i looked on google map to see what around the transit center. I felt safe while waiting for the bus I did not have a problem. Here what the bus look like in the photo. The driver is very helpful will be happy to answer your questions.

I love this transit center. The only heartbreaking feeling I have is the security guards are under staffed on graveyard shift and unarmed. Bathroom closes a little too early and that's understaffed. Not really sure why? Thankful for the modes of transportation. Please keep this Up. ?. Thank you, We the People.

The building has an air conditioned waiting area with bathrooms, water fountains, and a staffed information desk. Security staff patrol the area. Screens in the waiting area display next arrivals and departures for busses. Staff can look up train information. Screens on the train platforms do have Metrolink train arrival and departure information.
