Worst company, especially customer service. First, they moved a bus around the corner without telling passengers. Everyone had to carry their heavy luggage across two dangerous street intersection. Second, on my question What is going on? One of the attendants started cursing and screaming, and refused to take my son's belongings. My son is a veteran, he just separated from the military and was going home to Florida. And this bag has to go with him. Another attendant also refused to calm down the situation and treated me as bad as the other one and also didn't want to take the luggage. They both enjoy treating me like dirt and forced me begging them to take that bag. Finally, they said they wouldn't touch the bag and made my son to come out of the bus and load the bag into the luggage compartment himself. The attendants also said they wouldn't take any responsibility for our luggage during the trip.
I don't even talk about customer service, looks like in this company no one knows what customer service means. Treating people like that, especially a veteran is disgusting. I'm going to fill a complaint to the Department of Transportation and NYC and NYS Departments of Customer Affairs. This people's can't work with customers and this company shouldn't tolerate such behavior.

I might have lucked out. I think the route between Buffalo and NYC across New York State might be better than other routes from/to DC or Orlando based on other reviews. I travel super light but I saw families with large luggages that seem to go to NYC for an international flight and they seem fine.

First, there are multiple 95 Canal St, get the right one. Second, there are many buses so always check to make sure. Third, some Chinese people have poor English and sound rude but that’s how they are, I don’t care, for $40, I do not have to drive, could sleep, and also save the tunnel toll fee had I driven into NYC with my own car. Photo is of China Town, I did not take a photo of this bus.

I have never done gotobus before and I paid $40 for Rochester-NYC and $40 for NYC-Rochester. Because I booked last minute, I had to go with 2 different companies, Ocean Bus on the outbound and Starline on the in bound. I am still half way left on the way back but I already like this trip much better than the other one, in case I go again in the future - seats are basically the same, but this bus is smoother, does not make aweful sounds (the Ocean bus did, that made it hard for anyone to sleep between 12-5am), temperature is fine (a tiny bit warm which is better than chilly and hard to sleep on the Ocean bus), i have no one seating next to me (so do many others, and this is 5-11pm Sunday bus so I expected it to be packed, it is not), driver is polite, there was a quick gas station stop for filling and I was able to use that restroom plus grabbing something to eat/ drink, left 17 minutes past scheduled which is fine by me since I was almost late, but going very fast so I feel like I will have early arrival (will update).

Riders are stealing luggages .Never ride with this company .I was on a bus from New York to Tampa and my luggage was stolen along the route. Riders are stealing luggage’s as they get off bus stops . The bus driver told me I should call the police like that would solve the problem.I lost valuables in excess of $1200. I told company manager they should put labels on luggage’s or something similar to airlines to track and secured luggage’s.She told me it don’t matter and refused to give me a credit card. Never ride with this company these are bad people with lack of customer care or support. Never ride with this company

It’s disgusting! They don’t speak English! You have no clue what’s going on. I was just stuck in the middle of no where in this old snow weather for 2 hours. No heat. And I had no clue what was going on. Will never take this bus ever again. I need my refund!!!!

I really have a bad experience from NYC to Buffalo line with starline bus. First thing is there are a lot of 95 canal streets in NYC, and when I arrived at Chinatown, I found that there is no sign show that the bus will go to upstate NY cities. Only Florida bus lines showed here. Someone told me that I have to walk inside, show my ticket and get a boarding pass.
Finally the bus arrived at curbside in half an hour later than the original time 4:50pm. The bus is old, and seemed not that clean. Some of the seats are broken and cannot adjust. Also the AC is not that good and it was extremely hot inside at the beginning.
After half an hour late, the ridiculous trip begins. First, the bus company assigned a few seats but let rest of people sit anywhere they want, which made a mess at beginning. Then the company find a driver that does not have any experiences in upstate lines and he absolutely need help in finding the correct route. Ridiculously, the ticket vendor asked and found (what the heck?) a passenger who used to travel with this line to assist him.
The bus driver spend another 1 hour to get out of Manhattan and finally get on interstate highways. I think now at least we will not delay for a long time but I was totally wrong! The bus leave the highway for a long time, drive slow. The route assistant/ bus driver or other passengers found that the bus company set the route which avoids all tolls, and wasted many more times! Finally the bus driver get rid of these zig-zag free lines and went to highway for the rest of the trip, we still arrive almost 3 hours late in the late night and it caused an issue for me to find a way back to home in that late time.
I have also heard from passengers about the ridiculous stories of this bus line. One even told me that the bus is so old and she used to stay on the bus for 4 hours late because the bus had a flat tire. I was totally shocked. They also never refunded for the extremely delayed bus.
I hope the starline bus company can fix these issues. I understand $30 price is so cheap and you are better not to expect any service in this price, but please at least make sure that the bus is in a good condition, the staff is well trained and please! Don’t delay!

Their price has tripled within the last year but no improvement on customer service nor the conditions of the buses. They need a better way to handle customer complaints. But most importantly, they need to stop leaving people behind. They are more concerned about buying their cartons of cigarettes to sell in NY than they are of their passengers.

The bus driver left me & my 84 year old grandfather at the Delaware house & refused to turn around to get us even after I informed him & the dispatcher that my grandfather's heart medication was on the bus. Furthermore, the dispatcher hung up without telling us if & when someone would come for us & got no answer when I called back.

We expect a full refund for our tickets & compensation for the added expenses.

Worse line of transportation EVER!!! My second time using them (because I'm afraid of flying) the first time I used them the bathroom was broken and smelled like backed up sewage. The second and LAST time I used them the bus broke down due to overheating .The driver didn't care and kept driving till we were stopped by the police. Then the driver just ignored us and just kept playing with his phone when we tried to get answers from him if he was going to call for back up. My husband was in Orlando waiting for my bus to come in and I called him and told him what happened. My husband marched into the store front office and told them what happened. The girl at the front desk didn't look alarmed and took her time calling for back up like she didn't care. My husband then said he saw one driver get in a bus but went to Burger King first to get something to eat! Long story short it would have been another 3 hours before someone came to get us. I took an Uber with 2 other people and split the fare. They're dirty, disgusting, rude and unprofessional!!! NEVER AGAIN
