The company is dodgy how it reels you in. With flexible work schedules not telling you that they're going to force mandatory work on you and that your two day weekend is only going to be one day. The upper management only cares about safety while placing active blind spots in the driver's way. When you're already moving a big piece of machinery they stop you to remind you of customer service. Rubber bands shouldn't be part of your everyday equipment. Let alone with the stress they want you to juggle schedules and getting people where they need to be on time while fighting with dispatchers about how bad the routing is. And at the end of the day you have a union representative that is only looking out for himself to make buddy buddy with the people he works around not for the people. You're given an employee handbook that has nothing about the mandatory days they're going to assign you. They have you sign your life away when you first get hired so that way you can't argue when stuff turns bad. And when they ridicule you about the training that you should have had it will always end up being your fault for signing the papers

Hello, I'm a frequent rider, and all of my drivers are wonderful. But this morning, my driver named Sal (Salvador) was awesome! His personality is beyond compare! He felt like a family members when we spoke. Very sweet,funny yet very safe and professional! I hope someone from Sun Van sees this, he deserves a raise!

Don't let the bad reviews throw you off. Sun Van is one of the best Paratransit services in Tucson. The vans are rarely late and the drivers are extremely nice and friendly. I'm an ambulatory passenger but from what I've seen they treat paraplegic passengers VERY well, as a matter of fact they treat ALL of the passengers very well. If I did have one downside to say, it's that I live in Three Points and Sun Van does not transport out there, and Pima County does not have a county-wide Paratransit system so we have to drive 20 minutes to the western boundary to get transportation. Other than that, Sun Van is very good and offers an overwhelmingly good service.

EDIT:
As of 3/26/2024, my review still remains at 5 stars. The driver of van number 803 today (badge number 7091, I believe) handled a situation very well. A blind passenger had gotten into a fight with the guy sitting next to me (the blind woman at the time was severely sleep deprived, and she was complaining that she wanted to go back to bed and wished she had never woken up today, and other things along the line of that). The driver was able to de-escalate the situation pretty well and the man sitting next to me was moved to another seat. I am SO glad that I was not hurt nor any other passengers onboard the bus at the time during that incident, and that the driver was able to de-escalate the situation and get me to school safely.

I don't know how you got me. But I've never taken sunvan, if that's the one that was supposed to have picked me up Friday and on monday. They screwed up I never got to my appointment. And I had to cancel my pain doctor appointment because of it

It was my first time riding the bus being I am new to Tucson. A couple drivers acted like I was bothering them when asking questions so I wouldn't get lost. Others were happy to help and went out their way to do so, which was so awesome. I was actually using the online app but, got confused as any new person would because, I didn't completely understand it and still don't. If you are going to act like it's not your job to assist people, maybe you're in the wrong type of work, when it's actually your job to do so. Right? Just being honest.
