Really good company, professional, respectful and they treat you with respect and professionalism. Since the first day in my orientation they make me feel like family. The dispatch management is really diligent and they know what they are doing. I feel really good in this company and I recommend them to any professional driver 100%. Thanks Oakley for the opportunity.

Worker here … worked from about 2014-2016 in the truck shop 2 seasons and 1 in the trailer shop.. wouldn’t recommend unless your a beginner.. pay sucks .. I grew up picking oranges and went to trade school for diesel mechanics after job experiences like these I’ll stick to picking melons

Please find enclosed a picture of a truck that completely went through a red light in Ephrata PA on Friday, 3/22/24 at around 2:25 pm on route 272. He was also going at a high rate of speed. I am glad no one was attempting to go when they had the green light or there would have been a serious accident. I cannot find an email on the Oakley Transport website.

Drove for this company for about 3 weeks and it didn’t take long to start seeing the red flags. I was asked where I’d like to go for a load and I requested out west, they informed me that was only for team drivers. That’s all it took for me, I went back to there competitor that I been with now for 9 years other than the 3 weeks at Oakley . Drivers deserve to be treated equally and if there willing to work you should take advantage of that. In my 29+ years in trucking I learned one thing . Never drive for a big company, the smaller ones are the best . If I want to run west I go west , and after being out a month if I want 4-5 days off I get it with no question..

I rate this company a one star because it’s false advertisement about pay and that they treat u like family.. Did the road test with one of the safety coach guys and this dude have no respect at all.. The worst experience I ever had with a company..

I really liked working but my son passed away Megan driver advocate told me about a program they have free counseling so I filled everything out they gave me 4 free sessions counselor had put me on meds I let them know I knew I couldn't drive taking them would only be on them for 30 days but I was terminated and put down not eligible for rehirei guess that's how they treat family as they call it when I was down felt like they kicked me

This review is limited to the orientation and training at Lake Wales. They will tell you all throughout orientation how they’re a family and how without you they don’t exist. Yet, they will also come across with the mentality that you’re just a steering wheel holder & you need to do as they say and not question anything or you’re just a trouble maker. The driver trainers that teach you pump training and take you out on real loads/deliveries are professionals. My trainer was Jose. He & Matt are the best. I give Oakley 2 stars because I was sent home (after successfully completing pump training), because I complained about the nastiness of the truck they assigned me. I wasn’t belligerent but pointed out it was nasty & smelled like an ashtray. They boasted all week during orientation how they go to great lengths to detail trucks before they were assigned. I guess the one they assigned me was overlooked. They did offer to ozone treat the truck for two hours, and when I respectfully pointed out I doubt that would do much to get rid of the odor, they booked me a flight home. Ozone machines don’t do much for cigarette smoke. This came just two days after the Ops manager told me face to face that Oakley was eager to make sure I was happy to every reasonable extent possible and that if I have any concerns to let him know. I would’ve been willing to work with them on the truck, perhaps even wait a few days for a cleaner truck. In the end, they gave me a no fuss plane ticket home so I didn’t even bother to appeal to them. In an era where companies are desperate to get drivers, you would think Oakley would be a bit more accommodating towards drivers who simply don’t want to live in a nasty truck for 2 weeks at a time. I spent two weeks in Lake Wales choosing Oakley over a competitor. Now I’m with a competitor and I wish I had not gone to Oakley to begin with. Everything about Oakley’s competitor from recruitment, orientation, training, accommodations during training, etc etc is way better. I did get my TWIC & I did get decent tanker training while at Oakley which I will now apply working for a larger competitor. Oh & Oakley will house you in a run down motel in Winter Haven during pump training. The hotel was full of people who actually call the hotel home, pot smoke filled the hallways day and night, loud noises at all hours from people who don’t seem to have a job, roaches, a ridiculous breakfast offering, and my ac didn’t work well. On your orientation week, you will be housed at the Holiday Inn. They move you out of the Holiday Inn claiming it’s too expensive to house you there during pump training.

Not sure what the vetting process is for drivers but maybe it’s time to evaluate. This trucker decided that we were going too slow while he was merging into our lane. So he decided to honk his ridiculously loud horn at 1 in the morning, while our 4 kids were sleeping, so we would move over. First of all, you’re not an emergency vehicle, second get the heck out of here with that kind of attitude. Hire drivers that don’t think they own the road. Last time I checked, the law said he doesn’t have the right away when merging onto a highway. Truck number 392
